My Photo
I like to think I know what I'm doing with my life. I know what kind of things I want to do, and where I'd like to see myself, but really --I don't know what I'm doing. I'll just enjoy the journey to my final destination and the beauty it has to offer. I guess it starts here, part 1: Education. Welcome to my thoughts. Go ahead, wander through the mind of a University student. A lot of random, crazy stuff goes on here. It's a pretty sweet life (regardless of how much I may bitch)

Snow(BRO)'n

Last reading week, I had the time of my life partying it up and learning how to surf on the awesome island of Puerto Rico with my best friend. This reading week, unfortunately I was not on a beach, soaking in the hot sun. Instead I was home and snowboarding and working on assignments due throughout the actual week of reading week (lame-ass-shit). Nonetheless, I do love spending time at home of course and since I knew the week was going to be incomparable to last years, I decided to make the most of it.

Though we have our many, many, many differences...my brothers and I share quite a few things in common, we share the same sense of humour, and athletic genes; the constant need to be doing some form of physical...we just can't stop! (ask Mama dukes and Senor T). Our latest family addiction was snowboarding and let me tell you, this week...that's all we did.

The night before I left to go back to school, I realized that I really enjoyed my reading week at home (even though I was extremely desperate to be on a beach). I did not think I would end up having this much fun, in all honesty. Mainly because I was comparing this reading week with no plans to last years reading week in PR. Of course, when you compare cold weather + homework to a hot beach + surfing....you wouldn't be too thrilled to be sitting around this year like I was. But in fact, i had a pretty good time....
I was even dreading going back to London the following morning because I was so comfortable at home with all the cooked meals and just hanging around with my bros. I've been living away from home for 3 years now and I sometimes forget what it's like to be at home with them. That is why I also love Christmas time, because I get to be home for more than a weekend and really live in the house with them (more than just a weekend trip home). They probably sometimes forget what it's like to live with me; things are a bit different --we're older.
Because in the summer, being home for 4 months...it almost seems like I'm home for too long and all we want to do is kill each other and I keep thinking, I can't wait to go back to school. So Christmas and reading week are a pretty good balance in terms of time at home.
I miss them more than I say I do. They probably don't even know how much I actually appreciate and love spending time with them --they must think I'm annoying, haha. We fight and have our differences of course; have that love-hate relationship but who really doesn't?
Anyways....it was nice and I really appreciated the time with them. Sibling bonding FOR THE WIN :D <3
